Embracing The Sun
Integrating & Actualizing Solar Potentials

This seminar will focus on the sign, house, and aspects of the Sun. Through a combination of lecture and experiential exercises, participants will explore and discover the function of the Sun in their own charts. The archetype of the Hero is at the core of the Sun. Its primary functions are will and creativity, and its goals are the establishment of identity and maintenance of self-esteem. Our Sun-sign shows how we express ourselves, our Sun's house indicates the context in which identity is established, and solar aspects symbolize functions that may assist or obstruct our Sun's right of expression. A method for integrating these three elements into a single, intelligible storyline will be presented.
 
The day will be divided into four main topics: (1) The Sun as symbolic of the Hero's Journey; (2) Solar aspects as gifts and challenges to the self; (3) Integrating the Sun through processes of self-awareness and self-validation; and (4) Expressing one's heroic potentials through creativity, good works, and the encouragement of others. Guided imagery/emotional processwork will be included to facilitate healing and integration of solar energies. Seminar participants are invited to bring their charts or birth data. Appropriate for all levels.
 

Glenn Perry, Ph.D., is a licensed psychotherapist in private practice in San Rafael CA (MFT 1407). A professional astrologer since 1974, he lectures and conducts workshops throughout the world on the application of astrology to the fields of counseling and psychotherapy. Dr. Perry has written seven books and is the president of the Academy of AstroPsychology, a masters and doctoral degree program in psychological astrology. If you are coming north on 101 toward San Rafael, take the Marinwood exit (last San Rafael exit). Turn left at the stop sign and proceed west over the overpass to the stop sign on the other side. Continue straight on Miller Creek until you come to the next stop sign. Turn left on Las Gallinas. Take your first right on to Pinewood. Take your first left on to Quietwood. I am the fifth house on the right, 360 Quietwood. Park anywhere.
